October is designating as National Italian American Heritage Month. Italian American Heritage Month is a national recognition of the histories, culture, achievements, contributions and heritage of Italian-Americans.
This month-long celebration of arts and cultural activities celebrates the differences Italian-Americans have made in the history of this country and their contributions for leaving a proud heritage for future Italian American leaders and the City of Cleveland. Italian American Heritage Month also allows Cleveland residents the opportunity to learn more about Italian-American culture, while giving Clevelanders of Italian-American descent the opportunity to celebrate together.
